Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University
The IIT Lab develops AI and interactive systems that transform health, education, and communication. Funded by the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
About the Lab
The Innovation and Interaction Technology (IIT) Lab is an interdisciplinary research hub at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. Supported by RDIA, we develop and commercialize transformative technologies in artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction. We address key societal challenges in health, education, and communication by bringing together science, engineering, and design.
We work closely with academic, industry, and community partners to bring our research into real-world practice.
To shape a future where innovative technology and AI seamlessly enhance human well-being, education, and communication. We believe technology should work for everyone.
We build AI and interactive systems that solve real problems in health, education, and communication, and we share what we learn through research, teaching, and collaboration.
What We Study
Developing advanced technologies for emotion, pain, and stress detection using physiological measurements, brain-computer interfaces, and machine learning to create non-invasive tools for clinical settings and everyday life.
Learn more
Investigating immersive VR technology and motion detection for upper limb rehabilitation in individuals with brain injuries or strokes. The goal is to design engaging experiences that keep patients motivated throughout recovery.
Learn more
Exploring the integration of robotics, AI, and machine learning in autism therapy, collaborating with therapists and researchers to develop beneficial robots and establish design guidelines for child-robot interaction.
